Felt contact with the road gliding, and was suddenly off to the right still rolling. Wife was panicked
Once during on-ramp construction, I passed my wife in the bike lane as she waited. I was about five cars ahead when an impatient driver turned a sharp right and hit the gas to try to pass others in the lane. She watched as their tire slammed into my pedal skidding me 5’ to the right. Got very lucky.
