Another artist by the name of James C. Mulligan at Dragon Con has sadly started using AI in his work and got away with selling people images he didn’t even fully produce himself. IG @ mulliganjimmy — he ended up selling the whole weekend. Not all genAI tells are even circled in this piece.

The Huawei P30 Lite. It's the longest lasting Android phone I've had ( I think I've had it since 2019). Only issue with it is that you'll have to find a refurbished model, as Huawei phones are no longer permitted to have any Google stuff on them, including the Play store.

Is done. I used a program called JDownloader. I then manually entered the tags and album art via MP3tag, as the playlist was a series of mixes that aren't available as an album.. I feel too powerful.
There are so many good mixes and obscure bits of music on YouTube that are hard to find elsewhere.
I am now at the "figure out how to download a YouTube playlist" level of adding MP3s to my library.

Yep. I had a post go semi-viral over on Facebook last week, reaching just under half a million views. The number of new followers I got? Under 300. Of that 300, probably 1% of them will see any of my future posts.
What guys like this don't understand is that if this place dies, it dies. I won't be losing sleep over whether the platform I'm on is making a profit or not. That kind of thinking is only for maniacs. Numbers on social media mean next to nothing any more, just have fun while it lasts.

I finished the first Murderbot book last night, and was pleasantly surprised at how breezy a read it was. I went in not knowing it was so short, and really appreciated being able to finish a book in a few sittings.

Got some Silent Hills to stick in my ears, and this is my first time listening to the remake soundtrack. Don't know if it's because the original is so etched into my brain, but this sounds too busy? Like the audio version of taking a perfect drawing, and adding too many lines to it.

Yeah, I'm starting to make the pivot to going back to a pre-streaming service approach to media. I've set up a media server for TV shows and films, am in the process of building an MP3 library, and have started a Calibre library for my ebooks. It feels good to have that kind of control.

One of the reasons I was afraid to cut the cord 'til now was because of how easy streaming services make it to discover new music. Well, turns out the app I'm using to compile my MP3 library has a similar feature. Once I saw that, I decided I could comfortably cancel my sub.
Well, I've finally done it. As of the end of next month, I won't be paying for any streaming services for the first time in, oh... ten years? That extra money in my pocket will be going toward renewing my VPN instead.

Currently filling my new MP3 library with video game music, and this is a track that I still love, despite never playing the game. I think it was used in one of the trailers, and it's stuck with me since. What can I say? I love me some bombastic orchestral pieces with synths thrown in.
I dunno, doing a digital cosplay as modern soldiers is just so bloody boring to me. I think it's no coincidence that the only modern Battlefield game I enjoyed was the one set during WWI.
I remember playing CoD1, finishing it in two sittings, having a lovely time with it, and then never touching the series (even that game) again. I briefly tried the first MW, but bounced right off it.
