Everywhere. Gerrymandering is nationwide. Dems in Texas don’t even show up for Senate or presidential elections. They deserve what they get.
Polls in Texas are open from 7A to 7P and on Saturdays. People can find time to vote here. I’ve never waited in line more than five minutes during early voting. Many Dems here assume falsely that their votes are inconsequential so they don’t bother to vote.
Gerrymandering occurs in all states. Dem voters in Texas just don’t show up to vote. That’s why republicans are elected to the senate and presidency here.
Able bodied people can make it to a nearby polling station. That’s not an excuse. No armed people are around ballot boxes or at polling stations. Don’t demonize legitimate voting.
It’s not that hard. Registered Dems outnumber republicans by two million in Texas. The real problem is motivation to vote.

1/2. While it’s true that voting by mail is restricted and difficult in Texas, many of those voters can still appear during early in-person voting and on election day. I qualify for mail-in voting but until I’m unable to vote in person, I will continue to cast my ballot in person.
Actually there are about two million more registered Democrats than republicans in Texas. Sadly, republican voter turnout is greater, but maybe not this next cycle.
