People need real steps they can take. Replace all these insane stoplights and stop signs with traffic circles and you save massive amounts of energy. Learn to live with and appreciate natural light instead of bright lights on in every room. Instead we look to others to take action.
It’s about generating fear. That’s what he wants. That’s why mocking him is effective.
Another failure of congress to legislate inside of just relying on norms and good people doing the right thing. And when they do write laws they’re usually vague They’ve put the courts into impossible positions where judges have no law they can use to stop him from bulldozing the government.
Work at a poll in the midterms and watch who shows up. Not the progressives. Look at who works so hard to organize and run campaigns. Not progressives. This culture of give me the perfect candidate who says exactly what want to hear then just maybe I’ll vote is handing win after win to maga.
What’s bullshit is these young progressives don’t vote. Above the age of 60 voters show up 70-75%. Ages 18-24 years, not even 50%. We had great, young candidates for state positions and young voters didn’t show up because of Israel attacks on Palestinians. Where’s the intelligence in that?

Trying to convince young progressives that local and state elections matter is incredibly frustrating. My state had outstanding democrats on the ballot - strongest in years. But as hard as we worked, young people wouldn’t put their phones down and vote.
In several businesses the black kid was told they aren’t hiring while the white kid was giving an application. The white kid got dozens of interviews and multiple job offers. The black kid got 3 interviews but zero job offers. So why bother with school when it makes zero difference.

Make it illegal to resell your old guns. Then make it a crime if one of your old guns is used in a crime. Add a $50 public safety tax to every round of ammo. List all gun purchases in an open databases. Add an annual federal tax to every gun owned and if don’t list it - tax fraud.
