So a scientist has designed a way of cutting something like 80% of the methane from cattle burps without harming the cattle. He mentioned that of course the ideal would be that we stop eating them, but that that wasn’t realistic. But it could be. Just stop subsidizing it.

I’ve been writing a bit on chigo (temple acolytes), and one person I would definitely recommend on this subject is Sachi Schmidt-Hori, who basically argues that the gender of chigo was neither male nor female, but rather “child.” Different from prepubescent children and more feminine than adult men.

EVEN factory farmers live at or below the poverty line. And that’s with your tax dollars subsidizing it, because animal agriculture simply does not make economic sense either. Not to mention the animal-to-human diseases that form in such environments. The more you look into it, the worse it is.
Moreover, EVEN factory farmed dairy cattle (the most land-efficient animal agriculture) take ten times more land than any given plant crop, and that’s not even including the other resources: fuel to transport them to and from slaughter houses, antibiotics, the human cost of raising and slaughtering
Kindly do even the smallest bit of research before confidently claiming nonsense. What I’m saying is that there is not enough pasture in the world for cattle to graze and for people to eat them. And factory farmed cattle HAVE to eat produce, where do you think that is grown?
That would only work with unlimited scrub land, which only exists in maybe someplace like Mongolia, and not enough to support any more people than already live there, as a matter of practicality.
