There definitely are different levels of homeless and different circumstances. Most are kind people and the unkind have a reason to be that way. Our system is fucked up
This kind of energy makes me laugh honestly
How good they have it rather than “we should do something about it”. However doing something about it is a deeper systemic issue that has to be addressed in legislation and government action that we often don’t have a say in 😔

Hmm yeah sometimes I feel invasive but if I’m trying to document a culture or someone’s little blip of life in my view finder in a respectful way then that is a justified reason to photograph them. But I can see how that’s also kind of disruptive of someone’s privacy 😅 it’s a fine line
Right I agree I also think they should receive something like food or some cash. When I started my journey with street photography I was very naive and thought the world was just open to me and I did photograph homeless without thinking. I feel this convo is super important for folks who are new

Right it’s supposed to be fluid and there’s all this pressure passed down from the masters but the masters did exactly that to start. I say to myself often “fuck having a style” to allow the freedom to experiment. And more recently I’ve landed on concepts and ideas that I’m gravitated towards..
With art I have a hard time finding a style which is similar to this. A style is an artist’s identity & when I come across a style I’ve explored & don’t like it, I keep tweaking it & fine-tuning it. Over time, I imagine a voice & a style to change as we discover more about ourselves & the world.

You said everything that I’m thinking lol like why is the culture on this app to make public lists in negative ways telling people to block others without checking facts, without talking to them first, and just basing everything on assumptions like tf… it’s creepy yes and bizarre childish behavior.
I have used generative remove maybe a small handful of times, but it always looks like ass when zooming in so I don’t want to deal with the pixel bullshit it leaves behind. Most of the time I go with a journalistic approach myself. I struggle hard with lighting though 🥲

I am one to select the sky 😂😂 I’ve also erased people and bushes and misc. ugly things in the way. Because I can. It’s bizarre that using tools like this now means I’m an “ai photographer” in the eyes of such haters/scanners but 95-99% of the shot is from the camera soooo…. Whatever lol
So it has begun…. The only AI I use is when I’m using photoshop and Lightroom. Yes, editing programs have AI to help you get the image you desire; even the simple tools like stamp tool and lasso are technically AI. What good does this kinda shit do anyways 😂

I do share in the fact that a place is what it is until you manipulate it so much it no longer becomes that place anymore haha it becomes more of a digital art than a photograph. That’s why I justify replacing the sky with a sky I photographed already to keep it purely my work and high quality 😅
