While you are looking at Trump, the oligarchs are seeding themselves deeper into the fabric of society, your government, and your resources. Your media is captured, your institutions are captured, your politicians are captured, and your algorithms are captured. A full system reboot is needed. #3E

I went into the Walmart grocery and they had made this tower of Cheetos which went up to the ceiling and they were on sale and my first thought was “they’re preparing for something”. So I bought some Cheetos. Just in case.

In case you are wondering, #openai must have some kind of new controls in place because it just refused to provide party planning suggestions for 'on the day it finally happens'. even when you ask it to pretend it's a screenwriter and provide hypothetical suggestions, it's pretty lame and useless
Not your Comrade (@notyourcomrade.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s based on the premise that the a Tesla is a product but the OpenAI guys are arguing that charGPT is a service and not a product, thus not subject to product liability laws.So a better analogy would be if you got food poisoning at my restaurant maybe? And they might say “sometimes that happens.”

This would seem to violate the oath that all public servants take to support and defend the constitution of the US. If someone doesn't believe in multiparty democracy and wants to outlaw opposition, this would seem to violate 14th amendment, among others. These people all need to be removed
Not your Comrade (@notyourcomrade.bsky.social) reply parent
Actually in most of the legal proceedings, they insist they're not a product but a service. Apparently legally this makes a big difference. You can't knowingly sell a dangerous, untested PRODUCT but apparently the same safeguards don't surround a service. (Kind of like the old 'platform' dodge)

The censorship is beginning and it’s creeping, sometimes subtle. The Frieda Kahlo exhibit at Richmond VA Museum of Contemporary Art doesn’t mention her queerness, her sexuality. Exhibit at Muscarelle Museum in William and Mary’s history doesn’t mention their discriminatory past. It has begun.
