Nigel Farage was humiliated earlier today by a brilliant Rep. Jamie Raskin who called him a “far-right pro-Putin politician” and a “Donald Trump sycophant and wannabe”. Not sure Nigel will want to come back to the US after that 😂

Prima facie, Elon Musk appears to be manipulating X platform for specific political voices he supports (as well as using his own account to amplify the far right & furthest right). In particular the platform dynamic has shifted & is helping Tommy Robinson to be amplified more than Nigel Farage.

My experience of AI is that it generates hallucinations that sometimes might be correct. Enough to fool, but not reliably use. So much money and resources have gone into it that it's a sunk cost fallacy now for a lot of firms.

So that means any law to strip / reduce executive power today, cam be reverted by PM Farage. Only a widespread constitutional reform can do that, where parliament ceases to be sovereign. Basically we're stuffed.
Peter Adamson (@nsr2.bsky.social) reply parent
Can we? I'm not doubting that reducing executive power is a good idea. But my understanding is that: 1) Parliament is sovereign. 2) If a Parliament passes a law to reduce exec power today, and "locks" it for all time. 3) Future parliament can't be sovereign if 2 is true. ...
