Yep. :-( it took millenia for us to get to 1 billion people. Now Population went from 4 to 8 billion in 50 years. 2x the people *will* (and has) generally bring 2x the conflict, 2x the resource needs, 2x the disease, 2x the pollution and etc. And we don't talk about it (we have no solution!)
