Over time I've come to realize that the only true value is sentimental. I look at art I've received and it matters to me because of the artist and the process of how I received it. Sometimes that's good and sometimes bad, but it means something and it states something about where I was at the time.
As a lifer there I can appreciate all the little details on the scene xD From the bay ID's to the "violators" the equipment license on the retractable lanyard, the probably platinum award watch, lol

I know it's going to burn me eventually and I'll see something I really don't want to, but I've learned how to find the most random YouTube videos and now I'm fascinated to see what weird, random things people recorded and just uploaded ten years ago with no real title and 0 views.

I think as a teenager I had a similar email conversation with Dark Natasha about the dark and skulls and things I found scary or evil in my child's mindset, and she tried explaining to me that creativity can come from darkness and expression of darker themes and thoughts are exploring yourself, etc.
You literally phrased it as you being fine with things being bigoted in what gets banned and censored, but worried about it getting "super" bigoted where your personal fetishes or kinks are banned...If you agree there should be a line, don't be shocked when it's moved to somewhere you don't like.

Yeah, even at the time reading them as a kid I noticed the stereotyping/racism that was all over it. Some are just all good, some are all bad, but they're pretty much the same regardless of upbringing or era. I was really rooting for Veil as an owner of ferrets myself at the time.
I really just didn't like the world or core story of Beastars. It has a message of fighting against stereotypes...I think? But it also enforces really stupid, unfounded stereotypes of different animals from the dark ages, like carnivores going into an insane bloodlust or killing for fun.

The "joys" of having a young, blind dog. Out fence racing with the neighbor's dog and hit his chin on the fence post and got a gash in his tongue...so much blood and I was watering the grass and he ran through the water and it looked like it was everywhere. I'm sure he'll be fine but...dumb baby.

I feel like I need to give that a watch after work. I've been wanting to write again (just for my personal enjoyment) but I've been getting stuck due to avoiding ideas in my world building because they are "too similar" to something already existing. I feel it's like copying or ripping it off.
I think it might be a symptom of people who haven't had to develop a "professional" persona, separate from their personal. You have to draw a line between what you share with your inner circle of trusted friends and family, your burdens and opinions, and what you share with strangers.
When you don't know how to deal with your emotions, you feel an urge to dump them onto other people to see if they know how to deal with them, or else it builds up inside you, getting more jumbled and hard to unravel. Just knowing you're sad because you didn't sleep well changes your whole view.
Looking back over the last 20+ years of being online, the biggest thing in relationships, and for yourself personally, is emotional intelligence. Understanding why you're feeling what you're feeling and how your actions have and will affect you and other people.
I don't know how I felt when I came to that realization after much testing around the house and at stores that was the end texture result I was looking for because I just have never been that into being messy or sticky.
Really like the look of it! I spent ages trying to figure out the theoretical texture of a magical form and entirely I came to the texture of those puffer balls, stretchy but not slimy...then I realized that was just a soft hardness sex toy...

I'm ace, and I've been married to a girl and a guy, but with my ex-wife it was a clear case of emotional manipulation when she wanted to have sex, and I never really felt like it, didn't enjoy it. I'm still dealing with sex aversion from unwanted touching to try and arouse me and the guilt tripping.
It's something that really gets looked over and I've straight up had coworkers tell me that it's impossible to rape a man because of said perceived willingness, or that if a man gets raped it's because he's "weak" from another coworker. Then as ace with low sex drive, it's been a real issue.

They usually sprint off, away from my towels, to rub against anything they can and try and dry themselves off which riles to the other ones, thinking they are trying to play.
My pups were all shedding with the warm weather so all 3 corgis got baths today which led to chasing them around with towels and then brushes for the next few hours. X3

I've come to believe that the acceleration of our lives as we grow older, is because we've become so used to things we see often that our brains write it off as something not to be paid attention to. Unless we either seek out new experiences or take time to appreciate old ones, we skim through life.
I carefully manage who I follow, mute, and block to not get first or secondhand toxicity.
