Yep! We grew up in homes either no serious perks or actual poverty (me/spouse). We’ll cope between that and now being where the “Joneses” thing stopped years ago. But we’re not representative of millions in younger cohorts who expect stability and relative abundance.
These folks really don’t think and just spew stuff to spew. If they did think it takes 5 minutes to see that removing non-citizens from the count would quickly take away House seats from TX, NV, GA, FL…which would likely wash out similar adjustments in IL, NY, NJ, and CA.
We can absorb it (I think), but at the expense of a goodly number of local businesses losing our dining and entertainment coin. Plus if any big item in the house fails we won’t be replacing with new/better; refurbs will be in play. Gonna be a slow motion train wreck all over, my friend.
