The only thing this ruling truly does is further entrench SCOTUS' long term goal of establishing itself as a ruling, legislative body. They will weigh in on individual cases at their leisure, as they see fit, and allow ideologically aligned lower stays to stand.

Trump gets to just flood the zone with abuses now. Maybe some courts will protect some victims, assuming they have money for a lawyer, time to go through the legal process, and are lucky enough to get a non-MAGA judge. The others are just SOL.
