Every week I bake treats for my friends work crew and I share dinner with him at least once a week I love to cook and bake ( but I don’t eat many sweet things so they are my guinea pigs) It gives me joy to bake and to find someone who enjoys eating them
I had a new roof two years ago and they finished in a day - and it was november so shorter day

Yep Yesterday I baked cupcakes, apple crumble, chicken Wellington, and roasted garden vegetables, all becsusecitcwas cool enough to put the oven on Today I’m in the garden tackling weeds and moss And I slept so much better too

I started that a long ago I don’t let negativity drain me If you can’t accept the hand of friendship without whining it’s your loss I have many friendships from 50+ years ago and some newer ones We appreciate each other and brighten each others day Too many friendships are shallow

It costs nothing to brightens some one’s day I had a long chat with an older gentleman ( I’m 69) in the grocery store parking lot I’m quite shy but we both felt good as we left

It’s a whole different pace of life I am an early riser so I get out in my garden, do the watering, weeding etc before it gets too hot Then I go sit on my deck under a gazebo It’s so lovely and quiet there I have two chipmunks that have races around the deck It’s coo and shady till lunch
It’s a hard feeling to overcome when you’ve been busy and worked your whole life It’s like our value has diminished but frankly I wonder how I ever got it all done when I was a single mom of 3, with a career and juggling those soccer practices, boy scouts etc Chores first, fun the rest of the day
