yes the %s does need to be there, thats the "search query goes here" code im on my iPhone right now but this is what it should look like in settings:

-ai is not a great option because it will exclude information about or mentioning ai instead, use &udm=14 at the end of your search. it is an internal google code that turns off the summary you can also make it a part of your default search. udm14.com has a guide

yeah udm14 works bc it turns off the ai overview, unlike -ai which will filter out any result mentioning ai. that being said, i am NOT a google stan and i do not think udm14 is a convenient fix by any stretch. they made it intentionally inconvenient, which frustrates me greatly
