The real enemies of Scotland don't arrive by small boat; they arrive by private jet. People seeking asylum didn't sell off community centres, privatise buses, or bail out the banks, it was the super-rich and their friends in Westminster. Greens believe in a welcoming Scotland.

It's heartening to see at least one news outlet report asylum stories that are actually about the lives of the people affected - asylum seekers themselves. Such a contrast with the way so much of the media breathlessly hypes every utterance of the far right.
Russell Findlay delivered a speech in Glasgow, repeating a string of Reform tropes including criticising "state-funded" charities and academics, arguing people protesting outside asylum hotels have legitimate concerns and was forced to deny he is not "an old man shaking his fist at a cloud".
