Yeah, for now I think it's just that: a conspiracy theory. But if things start not adding up, I think it's a fair question: Did Trump give the order for the hit?

I was thinking the same thing. We don't know a lot of the details yet but this looks like a professional hit job. And Cash Patel's FBI has taken over the investigation from local law enforcement, I believe. I wouldn't put it past the mob boss in charge.
What worries me the most is what Trump is going to try to pull DURING the election and immediately AFTER the election.

Okay, so he brings the national guard into the cities. I'm having a hard time connecting the dots as to how that will result in him stealing the election. Are they going to seize voting machines? Arrest people of color? Be used to invalidate election results post-election? What?
We have to figure out the ways Trump is going to try & steal the election: both pre election & post election. We cannot afford to be blindsided or surprised if & when it happens. We need to imagine the worse scenarios & have a strategic plan to stop it from happening. Somebody get on that.

Dems have a big incentive to outlaw gerrymandering & voter suppression. Because dems win when everybody's vote is counted. And Republicans know it too. That's why repubs work so hard to find different ways to suppress democratic votes. They know they can't win unless they cheat.
Dems can't change the rules for better if they don't have the power to do so. If dems ever get power back, I'm pretty sure they will try to outlaw gerrymandering from either side.
