Each book in the Dark Tower series just draws you in harder doesn't it? I just finished book 5 recently, things get real crazy.
It does! They also make me want to reread The Stand!
My only optimistic scenario for the planet, at this point, is a sentient lifeform (who has their shit sorted out) visiting us and taking over the reins until we can all learn to play nice. Earth needs a timeout. :P (I just pray they are nice aliens!)
