Two things will happen: 1) Vance will have no constituency in the base, and the toadies afraid of Trump's control over the base won't defer to him; and 2) with no Trump to get in the way, the people around him are going to go after each other directly.

Re: Brad Lander's arrest. Most states have laws against assault under color of authority. Yet, we keep seeing these videos of non-violent individuals being manhandled and sometimes beaten, but no one brings charges against the officers. Why is that?
