It's a huge white room with huge vaulted ceilings, tall windows on 3 sides and golden chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and golden candelabra-style lamps stand along the walls in-between grand Corinthian (?) columns. btw the Swedish Ivy that used to be on the mantelpiece was a 1961 gift to JFK from Irish ambassador Thomas Kiernan. Ever since it has been a consistent backdrop to some of the most famous White House meetings - until Trump replaced it with his golden golf trophies. Where did it go? @motherjones.com
