Here's strategy discussion then I'm out- Democrats have been bleeding popular support since before I was born. In the wake of RFK's assassination the corporate wing of the party starting pushing milquetoast republican lite Dems and it did not work for them. They took the win of Reagan as
a sign to do that even more and ended up losing even bigger to him the second time. It came to a bit of a head with the election of a "Reagan Democrat" in Bill Clinton. From there the party has leaned fully into protecting the donor class and themselves while sacrificing all others.
Every time there was a break in this strategy it worked but the party immediately shut that down. The party has been a party solely for the donors since before I was born and I'm nearly 40. They lost and we're all losing and you should be pissed at them Have a whatever one

People will choose to vote or not to vote for reasons that seem incoherent or nonsensical to people who are highly engaged with politics, such as yourself. This is a known factor in democratic elections, and not accounting for it is a failure on the campaign's part, not the voters.
