Like I said I totally agree, but must be separated in contact sports, it’s not a slight on Trans ppl just a safety concern.

There’s a safety concern when people hit each other in the head. Variations in testosterone at the same weight levels are nonsense. No one is being forced to fight.
there's always safety concerns not just talking about boxing, didn't you watch Soccer Aid when a male ex professional footballer tackled a female player? It basically all contact sports, the physical advantage to a male born athlete is far greater, I'm not sure how anyone can disagree
Saying that you agree that trans women are women muddies the waters, why wouldn't you let women play women's sports. accommodating changes in language to "be kind" has been used against us. time to go back to honesty.
if someone vehemently feels they've been born in the wrong body and are willing to undertake major operations to Correct this, and then suffer a life of ridicule for doing so then I'm more than happy to support their right to be called whatever they want.
I used to, but I underestimated the need for clear language. I also want to support people who are struggling with this (and any number of other issues) but after 25 years of doing so I stopped to think a moment and realized we still need to have clear language for many many reasons.
I couldn't have put it better myself. 👍
What gives that advantage?
Physical strength , it’s a no brainier, have you ever played any physical contact sport at a high level?
What gives the advantage of physical strength?
While you are thinking - this is also irrelevant. And kind of misogynistic. If a weaker man at the same weight level decided to fight a stronger man, no one would be hand wringing. If everyone consented to be there, there’s no problem.
Not in the slightest bit misogynistic, And please don't try to insult me, I support trans rights as much as you, But I am realistic when it comes to nature V nurture especially to physical strength, And why do you keep using a boxing analogy?
I’m not. I’m criticising your argument. Pick any sport. What is it that makes men more physically strong than women of the same weight?
Testosterone and male puberty
So trans women take testosterone blockers… Puberty affects people in different ways. At some point we are comfortable accepting various phenotypical differences in sports.
I suppose it's down to Mother Nature, ( basically) There’ll always be the odd exception to the rule, imagine if our brilliant lionesses ( football ) team played against the mens team, or Rugby, cricket etc, I'm not a gambling person but I'd bet my house on the men to absolutely thrash the ladies
Trans women are women. Reasons are here as is the standard debate. bsky.app/profile/brap...
So you'd get rid of female sport categories?
I think women should be able to compete against anyone they want. As with most statement’s that begin “so you’d”, the answer is no and is a deliberate misinterpretation of what is being said.
Women don't want to compete against transwomen. As all surveys & research shows. Including my own. If you think testosterone fuelled puberty is of no consequence why do you think female categories exist?
