No, are eggs. It's called "encharcada". Encharcada is a traditional Portuguese convent dessert from the Alentejo region, made mainly with egg yolks, sugar, and water. It has a rich golden color, a moist, fibrous texture, and is served soaked in syrup.

You'd be in heaven here. Our convent desserts are mostly variations of egg yolks and sugar. Not very subtle, but some are at the "sex is good but have you tried" level.
