I literally grew up in the era of WWE she was a "star" and don't get it lol

for people of a certain age that were on the internet during her era she was the most "she's just like me fr" women's wrestler anyone had seen in that she knew nerdy stuff like anime and 90s nickelodeon cartoons if we're being completely honest here, that's where a lot of it comes from

I wasn't watching during the time. It was hard enough to feign tolerance of WWE after the death of WCW and ECW, and the post-Benoit stuff basically lost me until ROH TV and later NJPW's streaming services got me back into wrestling, so that era of WWE is a void to me.

Yeah I was just young and dumb so thats all the wrestling I knew. Let me tell yeah when I discovered ROH and NJPW my little mind was blown lol

Though when I was real real young I grew up on WCW vhs tapes so I think that secretly primed me to hate the fed lol

I probably could've got into ROH earlier but my local networks didn't have it for the longest time. TNA, meanwhile...the workrate was better but I was so burned out by WCW 2000 era bullshit I just couldn't deal with it.

When I hear younger wrestling fans talk up TNA, it's like, yeah, it does sound like they didn't go through the worst of the end years of WCW so I can see how this might've been appealing. For me, I had seen a lot of that style of booking but at such a concentrated rate that I couldn't handle it.
