Hold on. There’s 1.3 million active US service members. Less than 1% of the US population. The US is about 3.5 million square miles. Germany in 1932 had a population of about… 64 million, the SA had 4 million members. About 6% of the population. Germany was about 162,000 square miles? Dude

You’re off by an order of magnitude. SA in 1932 started at about 400,000. It peaked at about 3 million once they were in power and able to recruit openly.
