A Sara Nelson campaign email asserts that she is "pushing to get millions in unused housing funds off the shelf and into actual homes", which is news to me as a city hall reporter. Nelson has actually proposed borrowing against Office of Housing dollars to fill other budget holes.

I would have thought she’d tout her pet spot re-zoning in the stadium district as her primary housing accomplishment.
A little harder to do that when it's tied up in two separate appeals.
But the rhetorical leaps seem easier to tie back to truthiness. “I am willing to do battle against entrenched interests to…” etc. The “get funds off the shelf” thing just has no legs?

This must be tied to the mayor's decision to finally release funds already designated for housing and make it seem like should be credited for doing anything other than withholding them until that moment
