I have an autoimmune condition and was told they are waiting for directives from CDC.
Yes, because RFK Jr is a liar like the rest of the GOP regime….and they don’t care a bit.
rfk jr needs to go.
I can’t get one here in Central Florida, apparently the anti-vaxxers (Republican liars) here in The Villages cleaned them out.
Gosh, it wouldn't be because RFK Jr is a liar?
I was turned away here in Oregon just yesterday, pharmacy said they're waiting on the state/federal guidance to administer COVID vaccines.
I'm high risk, and a patient with Georgia's largest health care provider. I can't get a covid booster without a prescription, and Emory's not writing them yet. I was told to check back with them in a week.
I would definitely advise against waiting till January, when flu season hits. Many Americans do so. January 1 is when health insurance companies begin their new year formularies. This often corresponds to CMS guidelines.
Incompetence
Impeach the crackhead slime ball.
RRK, RFK, how many folks did you kill today?
Got a flu shot. 20 min later the nurse called. "We just got a shipment of the COVID vaccine. Come back and I'll give it to you while I can."
Walgreens wants me to pay them $220 for the new Covid vaccine booster.
Little Clinic in Kroger says they will bill insurance but if it is denied, you will be responsible for $185. They noted that this may change but that is there current plan.
Two shots in my household as of today, $0 out of pocket to Walgreen’s. Call Corporate to complain? Walgreen’s helped the commenter from Long Island.
It was my insurance company which wouldn't cover it.
Complain to the CEO’s Office at the Insurance Company AND Report them to your State’s Insurance department AND Complain to your Governor’s office and your State Senator and Assemblyperson. AND Call your local newspaper, TV and radio stations. This is not funny.
Worth it. Dumb MAGA nut jobs forget that millions died of this disease just a couple years ago.
Came here to say that 65+ citizens can’t get the COVID boosters even though their pharmacy—the same one used in all prior years—has the vaccine! HHS needs a new boss who isn’t anti-science and anti-health.
The new “rules”: 1. Call my doc to request an Rx, taking her away from something more important. 2. She says I must call my pharmacy to ask which vax they are giving bc Rx must name it. 3. Call pharmacy, taking them away from more important biz to tell me which vax. 4. Call my doc back with vax.
5. Still don’t have vax appt. Must schedule. 6. Hope to get vax before rules change again. 7. Meanwhile, the GOP genius representing me in Congress is complaining about the federal debt but keeps voting for tax cuts for wealthy and anything Dear Leader wants.
8. Said congressman also moans about high cost of healthcare. (See 1-6 above) 9. His answer: force all seniors into Medicare Advantage plans for 3 yrs (no guarantee of coverage or benefits) 10. Of course, that path will bring pre-auth, limited formulary, co-pay etc. to delay and deny coverage.
I’m beginning to see the plan take shape—Wait long enough for herd immunity and the herd will be much smaller and more manageable. Much easier to govern the weak, ignorant, sick and impoverished.
Many
If I try to schedule a vaccine through my HMO, it says this currently: we "will no longer be providing COVID-19 vaccination after August 8, 2025, for all groups. Vaccination for the 2025-26 recommended age groups will resume when the 2025-26 COVID-19 vaccines are available in the fall."
Call the HMO Director’s office to complain?
Shit my pharmacy couldn't even get my doctor to prescribe it in a phone call. I have to go in and beg for it.
I'm slated for Tuesday. We'll find out.
Got turns away Friday.
People who can afford the time and money to get their doctor to prescribe the vaccine and pay for the shots have no problems getting the vaccine. It's classism.
I tried twice. I'm 71.
mr. brainworm forgot what he said last week, the tunnels in his brain make it hard to remember.
We were given a quote of $1000 per for covid vaccine when we inquired last week.
I wasn't able to get one on Thursday. Pharmacy said I needed a prescription; then doc said they can't prescribe it till CDC approves it. Fortunately, I live in NM, where the state solved the problem on Friday, and I got my shot yesterday.
I'm in Texas near San Antonio and (so far) no issues here. I'm 70, my HEB pharm where I get vax'd rec'd the newest covid vac on Wed . I'm sched for Covid, measles, pneumonia and flu vax this coming Wed.
In Colorado, we cannot.
I just read the opposite. Colorado is one of a handful of blue states to take matters into their own hands keep them available for all.
I walked into my local Kai-Perm last Friday for vaccinations. I was able to get the flu shot okay but the nurse practitioner said that “we can’t get the new Covid until the CDC says it’s okay. Try again next month.”
I usually wait until October to get my vaccinations. I'll have to check it out, some practioners are nervous about guidelines. RFK Jr has certainly mucked things up like every other cabinet member he picked.
I went to my local safeway and requested covid 25/26, flu, and pneumonia vaccinations and they gave them to me free no questions. Maybe you should skip that odd place you went and just go to your local chain pharmacy.
Thanks for the update!
HE LIED. SAY IT.
Those of us in blue states can get them. People should move.
I’m in bluest DC and can’t get one for myself in the district. My kids can’t get one anywhere nearby, even MD
Moving to an entirely different state is an extremely expensive and difficult thing to do, this is not a reasonable proposal.
My pharmacy (in NY) said they weren’t available yet.
Many blue states had a waiver of the need for an Rx if it was CDC recommended. So, they have issues too. A blue state is more likely to change the law. My state has too many Maga nuts in the legislature thanks to gerrymandering.
In San Francisco, Walgreens say “no Covid vaccines - for anyone”
Are they waiting for their shipment? Call again in a few days?
‘ Liar Liar Liar Pants on Fire…’ , Couldn’t remember public video recorded Statements He Made …. What is He On ?
Not only is it unavailable in most pharmacies, but even where it IS available, people can't afford it since the CDC isn't recommending it. The only way insurance will pay for it is if the CDC recommends it or a doctor prescribes it. That puts it out of reach for all but the super-rich.
Because Bobbybrainworm LIES.
My insurance told me they won't cover it until after the ACIP recommendation, IF ACIP recommends it. :-/
I’m paying out of pocket, $300 beats death.
Finally got mine today, many thanks to Governor Hochul!
THIS is why they didn't want him under oath
Yep. Heard Walgreens refused to give a lady in Wisconsin the covid vaccine. The Trumpvangelical/Health&Wealth-types love it, until they're at Death's Door, and have to explain their foolishness away as an assault by Satan Himself. Those poor nurses! Just smile and try not to roll the eyes.
I got mine today in Tennessee. Free with insurance - guess I was lucky?
Yep! My pharmacy told me Friday that they didn't know when or if they would get any. Plus, I would need a doctor's prescription per the CDC.
Not trying to pry but what division of TN are you in? I ask because my aunt lives in West Tennessee and was worried she wouldn't be able to get one.
Sumner County suburb of Nashville.
Middle then. Thank you for answering my taboo question. My aunt lives in the Jacksin area.
No problem and good luck.
Kennedy has insisted covid shots are still easy to obtain, claiming that @hassan.senate.gov was “making things up to scare people.” But The Post talked to people who are struggling to get the vaccine. Elaine Cox, a 68-year-old with lung disease, said she wept after being denied a prescription.
Fortunately, I went to a wonderful mom&pop pharmacy where I was able to get it, but here’s what CVS said when I tried to schedule. This is actually not true in MA, but the CVS corporate website hasn’t figured that out yet. So no, RFK jr, it is not easy to obtain.
unionrxs.com to the rescue!
I'm in Worcester, just signed up for the COVID & flu vaccine at the nearby CVS, and did not get confronted by that "severe risk" question box. Caveat: CVS may have my age in their system and I am over 65. BTW: that's both at the same time, something else that RFKjr's CDC discourages.
Yes they ask for birthdate first.
Ah, I didn’t get that field either.
I don’t have a CVS account so maybe they needed that info from me? Anyway, moot because Union Pharmacy was there to save the day.
And of course no one should have to justify getting a vaccine.
Democrats who campaign on vaccine access and the protection vaccines offer to the greater good will win. Full stop.
Time for a new dr.
He was saying anyone who matters can still get access to the jab.
There’s a mother’s group I am in and absolutely no one has said they have been able to get the vaccine for their children. Peds don’t have guidance and are holding off ordering it without it.
I don’t think anyone I know has been able to get it for their kids. Pediatric doses not available
The American Pediatrics Association have maintained recommending the vaccine for children.
My DIL was told to bring daughter back in Oct.
Trying to get prescriptions (required in AZ) tomorrow, which probably means going for a Dr visit, and paying for an unneeded visit, just to get one. Calling first to see if they will write us one. 88 yr old & 69 yr old.
Tell her to go to Canada to get the shots
I’m in Fl. Cannot get it at my local grocery store pharmacy (Publix) as they are not offering appointments. I have heard CVS is possible, but they don’t take my insurance. Damn these bastards to hell for denying me agency over my own medical decisions.
My pharmacy in Upstate NY told me last week that they had the new Covid vaccine but were not allowed to give it to me. I am over 65 and have a chronic lung condition.
NY has changed in the past few days. Try again www.governor.ny.gov/news/governo...
I hope my pharmacy is relayed the message from their corporate office Monday?
Jon, is there a Wegmans near you in upstate New York? I went to the one where I live in Rochester, New York, and was able to walk in and get both the flu and the Covid vaccines. I’m 69 years old and did not have a prescription from my doctor with me.
Thanks for the tip. However, I'm hopeful that now Governor Hochul has moved on this, my local pharmacy may change their policy.
Best of luck, Jon. x In the UK, somehow the govt has been crappy at distribution for people outside of pensioners or those with extreme lung conditions for a while. I'm a carer & have to look after older folk straight out of hospital. Not only do I not get one, but also no compulsory sick leave. 😱
that's right. Eric Feigl-Ding identified this sneaky issue in an interview on the DW news program. Sure, FDA has approved the updated vaccine. But the CDC has to give approval, and, really in an evil circumstance, the CDC has not approved it.
Was just told by a pharmacist they're not giving out shots now because of all the confusion. In OR (along with CA and WA and HI), which is supposed to be in an alliance that solved this. K-12 schools open & covid rates are high. RFK (& senators who confirmed) are responsible for preventable deaths.
Confusion is what RFK wants. He will claim vaccines are still available but the confusion makes it difficult to obtain.
A good friend of mine (recent cancer survivor!) can’t find a COVID shot in Oregon, either.
Go to MD if you’re in VA. Or NY, MA, CA…—the pro-vax states.
Please invite Elaine Cox to try getting her Covid vax at a pharmacy in neighboring Maryland. No prescription required.
Walgreens told my 83yo mom that she needs a prescription to get a COVID vaccine.
This lady’s doctor also seems like a problem
CDC being blocked from giving clear guidance is the problem.
Bullshit, every competent doctor knows these vaccines are safe and effective. No one needs “CDC guidance” here
They do if it's all a box-ticking exercise that means they won't get payment without it. Stupid, undoubtedly,
Payment for what? We don't get paid for writing prescriptions
I'm just surmising. Especially as America charges for healthcare.
This is true. My cousin in another city asked his doctor for a script and he said he couldn't until there was clearer guidance. Mine said he would write one for me. However, since then our governor (Hochul) has made it good for everyone. Thank God I live in a blue state.
List of conditions that qualify you for a COVID vaccine if you are under 65. Note that "history of smoking" doesn't require a diagnosis, & able-bodied people might still be able to claim "lack of physical activity." 1/2 www.pbs.org/newshour/hea...
Note strange omissions & additions to HHS's new list of qualifications for people under 65 to receive a COVID vaccination. If you're dyslexic, you qualify; if you have #ALS or #MS, you don't. If you have ADHD you qualify, but if you have #ME/CFS (chronic severe fatigue), you don't.
Physical Inactivity would be what to list for that
I agree. "Lack of physical activity" is a broad category that could be useful for people who want to be vaccinated but don't have a "qualifying" diagnosis. The list sure doesn't look peer-reviewed to me!
Just had my covid vaccine at CVS with insurance it cost me $60 out of pocket, this is in New York. Fortunate I could get it, and I can afford it. This is not accessible or equitable.
I can get it at Minute Clinic in VA but insurance won't pay for it and it's $195. I can afford it but will hold out to see what ACIP does. Medicare will follow suit. FYI Minute Clinic 'writes' the prescription for you bc nurses give you the shot, which is why pharmacists in VA can't give the shot.
I had to get an appointment with my doctor, which was impossible, so I went to urgent care. 5 hours later I had things mostly organized but then the pharmacy denied me until I had the *right* prescription. Hours later, many tears, and serious frustration i had my shot. Rfk is full of horseshit.
I drove to CT yesterday to get mine. NY opened it up for vaccines on Friday.... it was previously not available unless you had a script in NY state.
Kennedy has little idea about anything in the real world. He's a Kennedy.
Hell, I’m Canadian on Bluesky and I’ve heard of people being unable to get them. Stupid fucking government.
YUP. A Seattle friend is taking her 11yo daughter to Toronto for a "vacci-cation" because neither of them can get vaccinated in Seattle and their PCP and Ped refuse to prescribe it because they're... healthy. 😳
Why to Toronto? Ontario is clawing back some stuff and you have to pay for COVID tests, etc. but BC gives you 5 tests for free, and we have pretty relaxed vaccination options at pharmacies. There’s a foot ferry right from Seattle to Victoria.
Drove across a border and paid out of pocket to get my vaccine after being turned away at my local drugstores, grocery stores, an Army Health Clinic and the VA (retired officer on Tricare). Just absolute bullshit.
where in VA? you can get the covid vaccine w/o a prescription in Maryland and Pennsylvania. www.al.com/news/2025/09...
The whole state of VA requires a prescription. I know of people who have traveled to MD and PA to get their vaccines
i meant if she is in northern VA she has 2 options in driving distance.
I went to my PCP yesterday and they didn’t have COVID or flu shots.
This was my experience in NY last week until Hochul fixed it with an exec order. Wanted one before a wedding but no vaccines w/o prescription even for 65+ and my dr said she needed some kinda govt authorization before she could write me a prescription. The stupidity! Put me in a murderous rage.
I mean, I think it's fixed. Was able to make an appt.
I had the exact same experience. I’m assuming the Hochul exec order is why I was able to make an appt today when I was denied outright last week. Fingers crossed it all goes off on appt day Thursday without a hitch .
I asked my doctor for a Covid prescription b/c they are required in Utah. He said no. I said that I'm over 65. He said, "Not recommended any longer, FDA removed these from list except for highest risk persons."
I wonder if the online telehealth services could be an option to get a script.
He is wrong. He should check.
Updated COVID-19 vaccines authorized for: Adults aged 65 and older. Individuals under 65 who have at least one underlying medical condition that increases their risk for severe COVID-19 illness. My husband is older than me. None of our conditions are "underlying". They are all out in the open.
Your doc seems to be misinformed.
I just scheduled a COVID shot for tomorrow at a Walgreens in the St. Louis, Missouri area. The scheduling application said shots are available without a prescription for ages 65+. We'll said what happens when I show up tomorrow.
I try to be nice to those answering useless Ann Wagner’s phone but I’m about to go off on them tomorrow because of this bullshit; as far as I’m concerned the person answering the phone is as big of an accomplice to murder as useless Ann
Settle down and see how it shakes out over the next couple weeks. It's not the fault of the people who answer the phones.
Oops. Meant "We'll see" what happens.
What about aides, nurses and other nursing home employees? Most are under 65, but they were major factors in bringing Covid into the facilities in 2020.
Since there is no medical doctor in charge of HHS or CDC, no malpractice charges are possible. If bombs or bullets fail to stop us, disease is waiting in the wings.
Yup, I’m a cancer survivor and was told that my insurance would cover the Covid booster, but I needed a specific prescription from my doctor. But the doc says they haven’t been advised by the CDC how to prescribe the shot. Makes no sense to me. Has anyone been successful getting the booster?
I am 80 with COPD. My brother died from COVID in 2021. But in Georgia I need a prescription that I can't get because CDC hasn't issued the necessary guidance. What a mess this government has created by its sheer incompetence.
Their plan was to reduce public spending so that the rich were less taxed. The tariffs bring money into the government coffers but this makes things more expensive to buy, and guess who pays: the American people, but the rich do not get taxed too heavily. The rich do not care: private doctors.
It’s worse than incompetence. It’s all intentional.
I'm afraid that is giving them more credit than they deserve.
RFK Jr is a fanatical anti-vaxxer and is absolutely committed to limiting vaccine access as much as possible. He's deliberately restricted, delayed, and blocked access to vaccines.
Depends who the “them” are.
No, it was all spelled out in Project 2025. They want as many of us dead as possible.
It's not incompetence, it's the plan. Welcome to being on the wrong side of the eugenics agenda.
I’m considering going to South Carolina to get it because it’s so hard to get in GA. Absolutely ridiculous.
In GA, can do at CVS locations that have a minute clinic. I’m seeing availability in my area as soon as tomorrow morning.
I tried to schedule online for someone over 65 and received a pop-up that said the vaccine was unavailable due to state restrictions or inventory. If it’s possible to get one, it certainly isn’t easy.
Weird. Here in GA, I am able to schedule for 9am when the CVS pharmacy opens. I thought GA was one of the hard states, but I guess others are in worse shape.
I’ve tried the pharmacy in my area and the minute clinic in my neighboring town (both GA) and received the same unavailable message. But I could scheduled it for tomorrow in a SC pharmacy.
Handy for those who have a CVS nearby. I don't.
I’m so very sorry. We live in a state where a prescription isn’t required (just self-attestation regarding eligibility), but so far insurance is refusing to cover it.
I’m in the UK and am 79 with COPD. I’ve had 8 COVID jabs, 1 more than my wife who is 78. Our local GP practice texted us offering the jabs and we booked online. Took 10 minutes to get to the doctor’s, and a negligible wait. This is the much-maligned NHS!
Yo FUCK Kennedy.
📌
My wife got denied a COVID shot this morning. She should be able to jump through the hoops and get it, but before the brain worm's announcement, she would have come home with a bandaid on her arm.
Also, fuck that doctor who wouldn't write the prescription.
He is outright lying. He doesn’t want anyone to take the Covid vaccine and is working hard to accomplish that goal.
Yes, I was denied at Walgreens. The pharmacist said she wouldn’t comply with the NY governor’s EO to provide vaccines for under 65s.
Report her immediately.
I did, both to Walgreens and made a complaint with the state
So glad you did. That is some bullshit. I hope there are consequences for her.
I gotta get back to nyc 🙃
I’m out in the Hamptons right now and there is literally *no where* to get it. The smaller pharmacies and the urgent care said they wouldn’t *ever* provide it for “ethical reasons” and that it “doesn’t work.” Lots of Fox News lunatics out here unfortunately. I called maybe 12 places.
The people who demand Freedom of choice denying freedom of choice.🙄
Christ, that's insane. I'm in such a bubble here in NYC. My local mom & pop pharmacy up the street should have them this week & all I have to do is walk in. Don't have to deal with corporate bullshit & they are more than happy to give them out. I'm never leaving this city.
I’m on LI and got an appointment at CVS for tomorrow.
Walgreens was requiring a physician’s prescriptions on Friday afternoon after the announcement at 10:00am Friday. They need their corporate office to relay the order to them. We both try Monday afternoon and every day thereafter to get that vaccine.
This was Saturday and she gave us false information on what was in the EO. When we showed it to her, she said she wouldn’t comply. It’s fine if it’s a corporate edict, but why not say that? I’m trying again for sure, this time with a prescription
Yes, today, Walgreen’s corporate needs a script. My script was there Friday and I had my shots. Hubby took flu only. Hubby’s script was there today and he took his COVID-19 shot. It was interesting to hear their clerk say this morning, “We don’t give COVID vaccinations.” We are over 65.
I filed a complaint with Walgreens and they got on it right away. Just called to tell me I could come back and get the vaccination.
That is GREAT news. Squeaky wheel got the grease.
So crazy. My husband walked in to a CVS in NJ today and got it. No hassle whatsoever. Under 65. All seems so piecemeal.
Yes it is. Our Walgreen’s Clerk obviously needs additional training. The Pharmacist said a LOT of people are coming in for their own COVID-19 vaccine. Everyone age 3 and over may get a COVID-19 vaccine in NYS. NYS finds 600 new COVID cases per day, according to Gov Hochul now on TV news.
bsky.app/profile/luck...
I can’t even get them from Kaiser in CA!
Same goes for NC. The state law on vaccines is that you don't need an RX if CDC has authorized vaccine for your demographics. No one contemplated the HHS would fire all of CDC management. This means great difficulty getting vaccine if 1 is 64 or younger . VA seems to have same rule.
I'm in Florida, my pharmacist says they have the vaccines in stock but aren't allowed to give them out yet. They hope to have clearance within two weeks, but everything is up in the air at this point. In short, fuck Kennedy.
Same in Colorado. Gov made change and I was able to get an appt at Walgreens yesterday
I’m in Georgia. Even though I’m 64 and a Type 1 diabetic with a history of heart surgery, they wanted a Rx from my doctor. It was easy to get but damn!
I'm hearing that's what we might have to do here, if they ever start giving the booster.
RFK Jr - like the entire Trump regime is a Liar 🤥 🤥
I went to Walgreens to get my Covid shot and they said they aren’t allowed to give it out yet. They have it though. Maga are murderous liars. @gagop.bsky.social
Had to make appointment but got shot at CVS minute clinic. No script but I’m 65. Long lines
Right. I am a New Yorker over 65 with a lung condition. Saturday a Walgreens pharmacist said I could get the COVID vax with no Rx. Showed up for appointment Monday and pharmacist said Walgreens computer system had not yet been updated to reflect Hochul EO, so Rx still needed.
Why would a 68 year old even need a prescription in any state? Aren’t 65 and older able to get it with no prescription? But certainly 68 with a serious respiratory issue is a no-brainer. That’s outrageous 😡
It depends on the state and either the law or the rules set out by the pharmacy board. In some states, they have to wait for the current year’s CDC ACIP meeting, which hasn’t happened yet. In other states, drs can write prescriptions for with just thE FDA auth, which happened a couple weeks ago.
I read that by giving us a prescription the Dr is accepting the cost. I deleted my request for prescription from Dr and was able to get an appt at Walgreens without a prescription In Colorado
My daughter is having a very hard time finding a place to get a COVID vaccination because she is under 65. Although she was vaccinated when the vaccines first came out she contracted COVID & has suffered neuro long COVID symptoms. The vaccine should be free for everyone. It costs $200. Not easy!
Wife and I got appt for our annual flu and Covid vaccines from CVS here in Virginia. Had to book out a couple weeks to get a weekend slot. Last year, Covid shots were available at every CVS, but this year we have to drive past a dozen CVS stores to get to one of their Minute Clinics. NP otherwise.
65+ here, got mine at CVS in North Hollywood, California yesterday.
We were able to make our COVID and flu shot appointment at CVS in Sacramento. Going this afternoon.
I had to tell the doctor “I’m overweight and prediabetic” for them to give me one. WTF kind of world are we living in where you have to tell people you’re fat before they give you a vaccine?
When health providers have to scramble around trying to navigate federal and state regulations, costs go up due to the increased administration burden. This is the opposite of what we need to do.
And just think of all of the time, effort, and resources that both patients and medical staff will put forth in order for people to get vaccines that they should have access to in the first place.
He lies.
Everything RFK Jr. says is a lie. Why would this be any different?
Not where I live in Arizona. The pharmacist assistant was almost gleeful when he said they were not getting any covid vaccines till next year. And I'm 72 years old who is immunosuppressed. I have to travel to CA to get mine.
Why anyone with a brain lives in AZ is beyond me. Or any other Red State for that matter.
How mean of you, TC. Some of us didn’t have your advantages.
Not that I need to justify my options and choices to you, but when I retired in 2015, I couldn’t afford to live in Calif any longer and I could afford to live here and I had family close by.
I have to amend this comment. Earlier today I got an email from my pharmacy saying they do have a limited number of doses of the covid vaccine, and it's only for children under 3 and adults over 65. I am older than 65 so I think I will go in and get it tomorrow.
Not without a prescription here in VA. How many people won’t bother, or do not have a doc?
My doctors won't give me a prescription until CDC gives them directives. I am immune compromised and live in Virginia - thinking about going to MD.
Yeah I feel like a ping pong ball here in Florida. I got an email from my local CVS right down the street telling me to come in and get my free updated Covid shot, (over 65), so I trot down there and park in the parking lot. There's lawn signs all around the building promoting getting the Covid
It’s a mess here in Colorado too.
I'm sorry to hear you're running into the same problem. It's definitely a mess. It could have been avoided by voting for the overqualified Black woman instead of a criminal. Elections matter, right?
shot. So I go to the pharmacy and I'm told they're waiting on FDA approval, and to check back towards the end of September. Even then they had no idea how long it would take to get them in stock. So I check other CVS's not so close to me and one 15 mi away has them. This makes no sense. Now I'm
wondering if this has something to do with either store and or pharmacy management being able to make the decision on whether they're going to provide them or not. I've had no problem getting every Covid shot available until now. Having an anti-vaxxer as the head of HHS on top of a governor
and a quack surgeon general in Florida has consequences. Elections matter.
I wrote above that the Clerk at our Walgreen’s said they aren’t giving any COVID shots right now. I asked her if they were giving them after 1 o’clock because I had one Friday afternoon. The pharmacist interrupted her and gave my hubby one this morning. We both had to have a script.

Florida pharmacies are holding their stock ‘in quarantine’ until they get instruction from the state. Walgreen and CVs apps say they have the new 25/26 vax but when I try to make an appt it says nope
Complain to the Governor’s office?
To what end?
An action to release the COVID-19 vaccines for your State’s citizens protection.
Do you know who the Quack Surgeon General of Florida is??
You may need to take a road trip to another state. So much for, “…everyone who wants one can get one.” I paraphrase.
Well you did not say you were in Florida. Talk to other pharmacies, your doctor and the County Health department about the situation. Others on here are in FL and found a shot.
I'm in WV (a red state). Our local CVS pharmacist told us all the covid vaccines in the nation had been "recalled." My cousin a town over, same state, was told she had to have a prescription from a doctor to get one. Family in Illinois hadn't heard any of this. So my wife and I got vaxxed there!
Good on you. Grateful I live in California. Made an appt got mine today
Well, weeks ago, the 2024-2025 vaccines were recalled by drugstore corps. Some states need scripts. Pfizer (Friday) and Moderna (Monday) were available at Walgreen’s in Upstate NYS. My Sam’s Club pharmacy does not have their vaccines yet. Keep calling your pharmacy every other day?
I went in August 29 and she said they had been recalled about 3 days before.
Sam’s Club recalled them earlier than that.
Isn’t it pathetic? They are making up rules as they go now.
