Just how long does redrafting take and how many redrafts are needed? There’ll either be end of parliamentary session or a cabinet reshuffle and we’ll start all over again. This can apply to so much inertia and impotence in Whitehall.

No idea, but I think it's good that they recognised it wasnt good and are trying again. We'll have to see. It does look like it's with Nandy and I agree she's been useless so far.

Hers is probably seen as a minor position but there's a lot of potential influence there. For example reforming media standards and enforcement of those standards.

I agree there’s a lot could be done. The trouble is, she’s either not doing any of it or not seen to be doing any of it. If you search news items for her you come up blank. You’d expect something worthy of note after a year in post but there’s just nothing.
