The average was about $60 for a full game experience. The industry as a whole bumped it up to $70 a couple years ago, and then Nintendo comes in and is like โnope! $80โ. And when that happens, they flood gates open.. I hate it.

agree...it kinda takes the 'fun' out of what you're actually paying for and for once, it's too bad i won't be able to pick up the switch 2 in japan since it's cheaper there - the unit apparently only handles japanese text and not multi-language like the ones sold here ๐
Yup! the responsibility priceed one and the international version. They played that one smart, so no need to worry about tarrifs and other stupid shit. They can look good to Japanese because they did that. Iโd get the Japanese one, but when I game I want to use English sometimes. ๐
man! i wish i could read japanese just so i could get the J version...but all good how's the overall coverage of the US been in japan thus far? i know the japanese media landscape is pretty unique over there
Honestly, I read the Japanese for whatโs going on in Japan for the most part. the U.S. coverage I do read is usually basic or from the associated press. When Abe was in charge, there was a shift in new coverage and they veered to what the government would have liked, if that tells you anything.
yeah, hear you and figured as much. i don't think ishiba survives much longer either at LEAST when abe was there, he was adept (at least better) at foreign policy than either of his successors. and weird question but have they EVER mentioned the shooter again? i don't see ANY news on that dude
Abe had issue as well. Most of the party elites are part of their own extreme (not so secret) right wing society called Nippon Kaigi. So being shot by another crazy isnโt shocking. No, I havenโt noticed, coverage of him, but havenโt looked. I donโt think we should glorify those types.
not to glorify, he deserves to be prosecuted under the full extent of the law but i find it very strange that there's NO mention of his case, etc - this is a guy who KILLED a former PM in a country where they have super strict gun laws
Of yes, of course. Japan is actually one is the places that have a 99.9 conviction rate, so no issue there. ๐ I mean to say that I like what NZ did with the Christchurch, shooter. They kept they mostly suppressed in the news, to stop him getting famous in the 24/7 cycle.
agree ๐ฏ NZ and jacinda ardern handled that aftermath very well
