There are 2 great things about making stuff about class for white people. 1-It lets us weasel out of responsibility for dismantling white supremacy or having to acknowledge that we benefit from it. And 2-It lets us be victims too. white people love nothing more than being able to claim victimhood.

Racism is certainly the #1 driving factor of Trump's administration. Next highest I'd argue is greed.
It’s the #1 driving factor of WHITE Americans. Period, full stop. Not class, not the price of gas or eggs, not billionaires — just plain old racism.
We are NOT on the same side if you fail to acknowledge racism is a problem just like misogyny is a problem & not just class.
Taking responsibility as white people for what we have done collectively is not division. It’s adulthood. It’s respect for others. The sooner white people take responsibility for what the majority of us have done, the closer we get to actual progress.
I agree that we are on the same side. I also agree with the class issue. But we have to tackle both. It's not an either/or, it's a both. Until we deal with both, neither will be resolved. You enjoy the rest of your day, as well.
If folks are in denial about the realities of how our society is structured are we all really on the same side? Folks like that person will agree on certain issues that impact them but will ignore root issues that will maintain the challenges others experience
I never denied the points the others are making. I agree and understand them. I am simply asking how we overcome them and can beat MAGA in the next elections. We need to convince people to vote for the better candidates. The candidates need more exciting policies. They need to fight the injustices.

As a country, yeah we sure fkng lost. I still believe if we weren't a country full of white people who hold unexamined bias with generational internalized racism and misogyny we'd have our second female president right now.
Yeah you're probably not wrong, but that's the world we live in. We need to find a way to make it better. We need candidates who can overcome those difficulties and unite enough people to beat the racists and sexists. We need better campaigns that address the peoples actual struggles and opinions.
Nope… white America failed. The non committeds failed. Establishment dems failed. The goal has to be more than just defeat maga or all they will do is go underground like they were prior to trump.

Yes, we need to have candidates that can convince people that they care and have plans to address the inequality and inherited struggles many people face due to their race in this country. America won't be fair until regardless of their race they have good opportunities like everyone else.
Access and opportunity must be increased for the historically oppressed even as said groups have made tremendous progress. When marginalized groups do well, all folks, including White folks do well. So the issue becomes how do you convince your white fam and friends of this?

Her policies were NOT clear. She had platitudes, but no DETAILS. Trump had project 2025, a full throated detailed plan for his presidency. She had better ideals, but can you honestly say she campaigned in DETAIL? Yes there was racism and sexism. Don't disagree. She didn't do enough to overcome that.
Craziest take I’ve read in a while. A convicted felon that commits mortgage fraud, assaults women and thinks “Black” means unqualified. And white folks still voted for him in droves. Yet you think SHE was the problem ?
Trump lied during his campaign and said he wouldn't implement Project 2025. So Trump's policies were also not clear except to send criminal immigrants home. He lied about that also because he's sending non-criminal immigrants FOLLOWING the immigration process to countries they never lived in.
I'm not going to jump on your back, but I watched both closely during that race, and her policies were better than his by miles. Politics isn't a zero-sum game. She had to shed her image from 2020 to try to win in a more Republican leaning environment in 2024.

Kamala Harris had detailed policies to make things better for the American people. Trump just said he will bring prices down on day one & implement mass deportation without saying how he would do it. And prices have only gone up!
She had 107 days. Every damn thing we held dear hung in the balance. She warned about Project 2025. Trump said immigrants were eating cats and dogs. You're yammering about details. And now, people are being snatched off the streets. That's not Kamala Harris' fault. Voters fucked up.

I don't think *I'm* on the same side as someone who says it's literally more about class and education. It's 2025 & 300,000 probably mostly well-educated Black women have been forced out of their jobs by a racist administration because of racism.
... I was talking about the uneducated obviously. The people Trump says he "loves" and vote Republican at high percentages. We need to force the Dem party to work for the working class instead of their billionaire donors and provide solutions to help these people, pull them away from Trump and MAGA.
