4. I definitely think Janeway was right to separate Tuvix. That opinion I will stand upon!

5. I think I saw @allycatraz.bsky.social say as one of her opinions that Worf was not interesting until Deep Space 9; I agree. Co-signed.
So true!!!!
6. TNG in general was way too much the Picard-and-Data show and I would have appreciated more eps for the rest of the senior staff. I do think that is a reflection of the writing staff and having few women in front of and behind the cameras.
7. When Ron Moore departed Voyager, a certain spirit left with him. You can sense a shift after Year of Hell. Rick Berman was dumb for what he did - playing him & Braga off each other, lies and slander and gossip like he openly admits to in the Voy doc. Idiot.
8. Star Trek takes credit for "the first interracial kiss on TV" but it was forced alien mind control snd not consensual. I don't think they should continue to take credit for it with those caveats. I appreciate what they were aiming for, but network censorship messed it up. Studios, harrumph.
That one has always mystified me as well
Sadly, that's has been a longstanding trope in science-fiction and genres where two characters are under the influence of a machine or powerful telepathic beings who forced them to be intimate with one another. That's sexual assault and in some depictions, it's not acknowledged or recognized.
9. I thought making the Discovery computer a sentient AI, Zora, was not great at all. A ship that can argue with you and not carry out orders is a detriment to a mission; it also controls life support. Not a risk I would want as an officer & not a winning storyline.
10. Opinion that is a pretty wide consensus: Section 31 was dreadful. I am sad for Michelle Yeoh because we know what she can do with a fab script. This was a miss and so generic, and didn't make much sense. Wish we had a Star Trek movie worthy of Yeoh. Alas.
11. Here is a fandom-opinion: Don't bash other people loving a certain series or character or movie if you don't like it. I am being conscious of stating my opinions here WITHOUT BASHING. If its not for me, thats my opinion. Not a dump on you.* *Unless someone is being racist, sexist, bigoted, etc.
12. We must continue to call out nastiness & degradation in our fandom communities. Just because someone else proclaims to love Star Trek, it doesn't mean they understand its anti-fascist, inclusive messaging. That sort of behavior must not be tolerated. Always punch n*zis, etc.
so @williamshatner.bsky.social is out then, right? 😹
13. Speaking of punching, I enjoyed seeing M'Benga in action in this week's Strange New Worlds. The more we see him, the more I really appreciate his character and Babs' portrayal.
14. Whatever they did to Number One's wig/hairstyle this week? TERRIBLE. Distractingly bad lol my husband couldn't deal 😂
Thank you!! This has always bothered me!
He didn't work on Voyager until season 6 though. Year of Hell was in season 4.
Who am I think of that left then? Its late and I am tired after travel. Zzzz.
Maybe Jeri Taylor? She left after season 4.
