13. Speaking of punching, I enjoyed seeing M'Benga in action in this week's Strange New Worlds. The more we see him, the more I really appreciate his character and Babs' portrayal.

15. General opinion: I would like to learn more about side characters and species but with only 10 eps per season, it is hard to do that and also move plot/character narrative. I think Star Trek seasons should average 15 sixty-minute episodes; ensembles and world building need room to breathe.
16. Star Trek is not understood well by studio executives and they need to hire people who know, love, and want to play in a universe that builds a hopeful vision of our future. Embrace the show's ability to comment on today's society through scifi & focus on what unites us.

18. The fact that Disco did not do the musical episode makes me mad. You had Anthony Rapp just STANDING THERE NOT SINGING, people! And Mary Wiseman, and Sonequa --- !!! SNW cast did great but I think they would agree about the Anthony Rapp of it all.
I will be annoyed about this forever. Especially knowing that fans and actors were asking for it.
19. More Jason Isaacs was warranted. I want them to chase Prime Lorca arcross space and time and find out what he was up to.

20. More Tig Notaro was also warranted. See what I mean about character building in episodes? She is phenomenal, needed more to do.
21. Ethan Peck is a MUCH better Spock than Zachary Quinto.
*hand waggle* I liked them both for different reasons. Very different takes on the character, but then Kelvin!Spock *is* a different character, which is something I think a lot of fans too easily forget about the Kelvinverse crew as a whole. I do agree that Peck excels as a truer-to-TOS Spock.

Zachary Quinto is a more *human* Spock. Ethan Peck is the prime *Vulcan* Spock. Kelvin Spock very much went more towards his human/emotional side than Prime Spock.
I can envision Ethan Peck's Spock growing into Nimoy's Spock. One of the very few "build up to an established character" castings (and writing) I can say that for.
From what I heard, it was to avoid trying to do hair animation. Uhura also had a tight hairstyle this week, which she usually doesn't. But....yeah....it wasn't great.

I like this head canon. I agree the hairstyle was awful tho in some shots she looked like a Pallas Athena rampant, which was cool.
