When i was in DC, a kid caught Strahm's eye over the bullpen. Signed a ball for him and tossed it up. There was an unspoken agreement amongst all us around that the kid was gonna get that ball no matter what. There was no issue whatsoever.

To me, when a player tosses a ball up in the stands, those balls should go to kids. Foul balls are more of a gray area (I would give it to a kid if I wasn't with my own) but the player is tossing them up there for kids. Some adults at the last game I went to kept them for themselves, though.
