anyway, PMC liberals have always been part of the dem coalition and are in fact the most liberal members by ideology. You can have purity or white workign class voters but not both.

if Biden hadn't been the most union friendly politician since FDR we might be able to argue this. Biden specifically bailed out the teamsters pensions, and the national chapter non-endorsed based on the leaders' personal transphobia.

Oh, I thought you were referring to Frank. Late 80’s a Teamsters local at the Detroit Newspapers was mostly Polish & Italian, mostly from 6-8 extended families. They were pressured to bring in more Black members, became about 20% black, mostly from 2-3 extended families
