All the Democrats in Nebraska are located in Omaha & Lincoln.

I dunno, there were about 1000 people at that town hall and the crowd was overwhelmingly on the same page on issues such as the cost of fascism and stripping Medicare from working class people Maybe there were some republicans in that room, but I have no faith in them to join the chants

I’d be happy if that were true; just haven’t seen evidence. And I doubt people were asked to show their party affiliation at the door, so there probably is no evidence. But 2026 will hinge on R voters either voting D or more likely just not voting.

What I'm getting at Blase is that it's either Revolution 2.0 or we will be right back at this horrible low or worse within a generation. Our system is terminal, it should not exist in 2025. It hurts the citizens that give the highest %, and welfare for the corporations. Not sustainable, not at all.

I am especially appalled at the under-30s who turned out in low proportion and are now sitting idle while Trump crushes their future. My proof on that front is that the people in that crowd were talking about the price of a fascist government as a bad thing, and Republican voters hold neutral to positive views of fascism

I get they are his *consituents*, but are they his *voters*? Very different. In his last election, 124k voted against him. But 187k voted for him. My view is that it will only matter to him if he’s afraid he’ll lose his R voters.

So if the town hall was a bunch of angry D’s, I suspect he doesn’t much care. If that room included a lot of R’s, he has reason to worry.

I think he has reason to worry. These guys have made it clear they DGAF about trying to serve the people. They think they have this all in the bag.

But what are the odds that his voters didn’t show? People are pissed. And that includes a lot of people who voted for republicans.

I think it’s entirely possible that audience was primarily D voters. But I think when the real effect of tariffs and other policies hit Nebraska, you’ll see a shift. But the R’s don’t seem worried about the 2026 elections.They seem to assume they’ll stay in power. Why might that be?

My thoughts exactly. People are gonna really freak out when they actually can’t feed their kids.
