is it true that the campground was set in an area with regular catastrophic flooding? i know that an entire residential section of houston was built on a documented floodplain & houses are uninsurable. 2 examples of the texas way of life. yee fucking ha.

Flooding this time of year in Central Texas is unusual. Floods happen, but spring or fall is more typical. In 6 decades here, I can't recall such intense rain in July.

Hard to imagine the enormity that most impacted families allowed to vote by TX' Confederate voting laws voted to accelerate global warming and slash NWS funding. On MLK weekend, TX celebrated Confederate Heroes Day, once again glorifying traitors who killed more Americans than Hitler did.

The NWS in Austin staffed up for the event. They normally have one person overnight and added four more. I'm no Trumper, but this isn't on the NWS. Kerr County had no warning system in place and at 4 AM, no one at the camp was watching the news or paying attention to cell phone alerts.
