Commercials for pickup trucks are now entirely pushing how hardass, testosterone fueled, redneck and patriotic they are. Overpriced? Poorly built piece of unreliable crap? Ugly design? Perhaps, but look at all that far right patriarchal flag-waving!

I noticed the same thing. Ram trucks. Never stop being an American. Whatever the fuck that means.
That’s the worst one, but there’s another (maybe Jeep) that literally says it’s the most patriotic. Then Chevy says “there’s a reason it’s called the heartbeat of Murica.” No, that’s just your lame marketing slogan. Nobody ever says that.
I'm proudly on my 4th Honda following Nissan, Isuzu (2) and Suzuki.
My first Japanese car (I think) was a Honda Fit. My wife and I have had 2 Subarus for years; in fact according to an email I got this morning from the dealer, I bought my 2016 Impreza 9 years ago today (and it only has 50K miles on it).
We never put a lot of miles on our vehicles since we used mass transit for the most part. So we keep them at least 10 years or more generally. My favorite was our Honda Del Sol. Lasted forever.
We are VW owners traditionally, but the recent quality of the cars and ethics of the company sent us elsewhere. We each had old Beetles that hit about 250K miles (mileage estimated, as both cars needed the whole speedometer heads replaced).
I’ve also noticed that black males are starting to buy those monstrosities.
You talking about the commercial narrated by Dana White? I feel like it plays twice every commercial break on the mlbtv app. I now just exit the app every commercial break and wait like 2 minutes to sign back in.
No idea who the narrator is, and there are several bad one (Ram, Chevy, Jeep). The voices fit the content, put it that way, they sound like voices you’d hear saying something like “ha, that’s all you can bench?”
The basic jist is. "We're not gonna apologize for making shitty cars and We're famn sure not gonna apologize for making even shittier commercials."
“Because real men never apologize.”
Damn*
Didn't mean to link the app haha.
The only thing more infuriating than the ads is that the ads seem to work.
Well, they know their customers I suppose.
