Looking at this reminded me of 2019, when I was in heart failure, & on big doses of methylprednisolone (steroids). I had to go to a funeral & I couldn’t close the top 2 buttons on my shirt, & getting around my neck left little slack to tie my tie. I couldn’t wear pants that fit me six months earlier
Difference btwn me & Trump was I was decades younger, was in excellent health before getting the disease, had a strong runner’s heart & my heart failure was essentially a symptom of the autoimmune disease. Few people mostly recover from heart failure like I did, they just manage it. Until they can’t

My younger sister died of that disease in her 40’s . She had a lot of the same underlying issues as trump, obesity, CHF, and kidney failure. Also she had Type2 diabetes which I’m shocked he doesn’t have🤷🏻♀️. Either way when she was at the same point in her disease, she was gone in less than 6 mo
[And to be clear, while by some metrics my heart is in the normal range, the damage left me 100% reliant on a pacemaker, & I take several heart meds to prevent backsliding]
Wow, that must’ve been really scary. I’m glad that you’re OK! I appreciate the point around having underlying health and good conditioning. My friend had a widowmakers heart attack, but his cardiovascular system was strong enough that he survived.

I was fortunate to have been in good health—it was discovered because I wasn’t able to run—& I have outstanding doctors. And 20 years earlier it wouldn’t have been caught bc they hadn’t begun using PET scans to detect sarcoidosis.
