Oh my gosh do you guys remember the time JUST NOW that I waited 45 minutes at the Popeyes for a spicy 10 piece and two sides because they only had one fryer running on A FRIDAY AT DINNER TIME.

RIP Popeyes employees
I would be so sweaty and frustrated in that kitchen tonight if I was the fry cook ugh
I mean if your local Popeyes is run anything like my local Popeyes, every weekend night it’s on the verge of turning into Battle Royale and that’s when everything is working.
This one is new, so it's really nice and fresh inside and the oldest employees are not even 24, so I can't imagine what it's like in the back!
Mine isn’t new but it’s staffed pretty similarly. I’m not kidding when I say I saw someone who looked over 30 once and only once and I used to go to that Popeyes almost every night before work when I was doing the graveyard shift gig.
The food was probably still worth it but dang that’s too long
I can't even eat the strips because I'm on a special diet 😢😢😢 Everything was hot and fresh but I was grumpy and tired while eating haha
So you had to wait in line and *NOT* get to eat the food? I am so, so sorry. That’s an awful Friday night!
I got to eat the sides and snuck a cheeky strip for my efforts (bad idea, it made me super nauseated within an hour) but yeah anything breaded in wheatflour is going to be off the menu for me from now on!
Isn’t that every Popeyes always?
Absolutely not, I have never waited more than 10-15 tops! Even at the busy ass popeyes in Atlanta airport I only waited 10 minutes. It only takes 7-10 to dredge and fry the strips, but with one fryer going, they waited way too long to get the drop chain started for dinner rush I think.
I live in Atlanta, and outside of the airport its always slow. they all seem to be severely understaffed and I always feel bad for the employees trying their best to keep up with orders
Oh yeah, not enough staff will absolutely grind a busy spot to a crawl. I think tonight they had too much staff, or the right amount for when multiple fryers are hot? 3 employees were just standing, waiting to crank out orders, as the chicken cooked. It was wild!
