I have no idea about colon cancer or the mRNA research specifically, but just as a general matter, you can’t neatly separate fighting cancer from fighting infections. Witness HPV as an example.

RFK Jr. has said he ended mRNA vaccine research for upper respiratory infections so no Covid, seasonal flu, bird flu… even though it’s the fastest to produce and distribute in a crisis. He claims cancer research will continue, but we’ll see. I bet advances in any mRNA tech informs other scientists.

Insurance companies spend many times more money treating cancer per patient than they make from the patient's premiums. Curing cancer with a couple of shots per customer is an enormous net positive for them.

The goal of insurance companies is to take in more, and pay out less. Therapies are expensive. Once developed, vaccines are cheap.

Insurance companies would rather have a vaccine than chemo—they make more money when there are less visits and less money when there are more visits.

Andrew Wakefield first launched his attacks on MMR vaccines because he was trying to promote his own vaccine, which he'd patented. He's tried to hide this ever since: briandeer.com/wakefield/va...

Healthcare is a business here in the USA. There’s no conspiracy to toxic capitalism. It’s all out in the open. HC insurers collect premiums and co-pays while denying payments for necessary treatments. You could ask Brian Thompson how it all works for better insight.

aug 13, 2025, 8:48 pm • 14 3 • view
avatar
El Jefecito @gbsooner.bsky.social

Yea, this is not evidence or even logical support for the grand conspiracy you’ve casually claimed. Insurers do not make money off of chemo therapy. Denying treatment doesn’t have anything to do with actively suppressing a cure. A less expensive cure would save them money vs chemo.

The Apostrophe @cruxothebiscuit.bsky.social

It isnt a conspiracy, it is the US healthcare industrys business model. There is no money in curing anything, the money is in treating things. Everything about it is designed to create as many chargeable codes as they can.
