Did you tell them to shove the illegal law up their ass?
Did you tell them to shove the illegal law up their ass?
The school email actually seemed apologetic
One of those "we're just doing this to make our lives easier instead of fighting this bullshit" type emails. Tbf its not their job necessarily to fight it though I'd love a superintendent to fight it but I know it would bring short term harm to that district. Up to individuals or groups to fight it.
Fortunately it was rightly determined to be in violation of the 1st amendment as it always would be but our dipshit AG said schools still have to do it. We'll see which schools are brave enough to do the right thing.
None of them will. There are too many ISD supers who want to keep their jobs so they will refuse to rock the boat.
Which is made even more ridiculous since that very same AG has been accused of adultery by his wife! Hypocrites abound in Austin & all GOP state capitols & the White House
Ten commandments for thee but not for me!
Ten Commandments, the Constitution, laws, even city ordinances are tossed aside by a number of GOPers who only want laws to be followed to punish those they don't like.
I also wonder about this bsky.app/profile/sirf...
Or the fact that I dont recall Jesus saying "don't be gay" or the fact that Jesus came because nobody was following the old rules and brought a new covenant to be fulfilled by Jesus. Its always been odd that they harp on some made up bullshit.
Also, lots of people in the Bible practiced marriage as a formal agreement of transferring property between families, paid for their wives as property, were polygamous, or had extramarital relations but those are ok I guess?
Have they also given guidelines to all teachers on how to address "Thou shalt not commit adultery" for all parents who don't want sex taught in schools? How about how to explain it to those kids who have dads/moms who have multiple children with multiple partners?
