Just talked to a fellow Sooner fan at Lowe’s who said he gave up his family’s season tickets because he didn’t like the NIL and transfer portal stuff and Good. GTFO. You probably told fans to sit down on 3rd down, you old fuck

What a dweeb
He had a cute dog.
Give your tickets to actual fans and not people who are there for a social hour.
Amen
"I like to leave towards the end of the second quarter so I can beat traffic on the way home" 🙄
I didn’t renew mine this year. It’s not NIL, transfers, bad teams, etc. It’s the late starts (Arizona gets more than anyone.) Getting home from games after midnight gets old fast. And if it’s 11 pm and you’re getting blown out and oh hey another TV timeout… I’ll just get some single games this year.
I was getting yelled at in the mid-90s for standing up. We had seats right above where the sooner schooner comes out. It was the olds. It's always the olds. As I'm getting older I've embraced it and trying not be an ass. Ah to be young.
I'm not crazy about NIL or the transfer portal, but they are a continuing evolution of big-time collegiate sports that isn't easy to accept but helps level the field for the students who put their literal bodies on the line so schools can reap millions (if not more) in revenue. And even still,
the vast majority of student athletes are going to "go pro" in something *other* than sports. If they're talented/lucky enough to wind up in the NFL or the NBA, good for them. I'm still waiting to see the ways the NIL system can be abused. But I'm also not weeping that Brent Venables gave up 1/8
of his $8 mn annual salary to "assist" with NIL efforts. HOLY FUCK THE GUY MAKES $8 MN A YEAR AND OU IS REALLY MEDIOCRE IN THE SEC. Kudos to New Guy breaking Baker Mayfield's first-game-as-a-transfer record, but it's a long season that could turn bad as early as next weekend when Michigan comes in.
Not to take a big 'ol defecation on THAT fanbase, but already Oklahoma State is on the negative end of headlines and it's only Week One. Hello Wendell Gregory: www.news9.com/story/68b3a7...
