Nearly half of all the rural hospitals left in Missouri are at risk of closure — the proposed Medicaid cuts will likely finish them off. Closing these hospitals not only harms the people in these communities, but it will also hasten the death of these communities.

The good people of MO seem to be ok with that. Last year they had the ability to vote leaders into federal office that would have worked for them, not the billionaires. And yet the mostly rural folk went for more of the same…by 14 percentage points. So there’s that 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have been giving gerrymandering a lot of thought recently. I think that once people are really suffering (ie: no food or healthcare) and it can be directly related to their representatives legislative votes in Congress, even gerrymandering won’t help get them re-elected. Hoping for change soon.🤞🤞🤞

I hate when people suggest red states should suffer. Actually, I hate the very concept of red states vs blue states. Even in the “reddest” states A LOT of people who voted against this (around 40% in my state) will suffer, as will A LOT of people who couldn’t vote, like children and immigrants.
