If you have an employer, they are required to take out the Fed taxes. If the Employer sends what's collected to the states tax escrow account it is out of the individuals hands ( liability ). The problem is finding a way to shield everyone so no one technically breaks any laws. The taxes are voice.
On a state level this is edging on secession-which I’m totally fine with but we need to be seriously aware of what it is. Individuals can withhold Fed taxes. #TaxStrike does put an individual at risk for audit/tax evasion charges but there’s not much of an IRS anymore and I think it’s worth it

If you renounce US citizenship you have to pay a big tax penalty for it and still have to file US tax returns for 10 years after
