I live in one of these gerrymandered states, and spent weeks trying to cast a routine ballot. No changes in status, address zero. Idententical for decades, but my vote was mysteriously not counted.

We in Missouri passed legislation through citizens initiative to install an independent redistricting board. The republicans responded by adding a repeal of the law in a confusingly worded proposal that made no seem like yes, and added it to an off season ballot to ensure low participation.

GOP state lawmakers are nothing but devils wearing business suits. They don't want people to have supplemental income if they out from work sick laying in a hospital bed. This is where big companies have lobbied to state lawmakers knowing it would hurt their bottom line profits the private sectors.

Why bother with voting at all anymore at this point if the legislators are just going to ignore the voters will.
It is disheartening. They’ve made getting a citizen’s initiative on the ballot difficult and then they strike it down if it passes! They should at least be required to publicly explain and show proof for why they struck it down.

I don’t think so. I think the courts follow the law, they don’t make the law. The legislative branch does make the laws. I’ll have to check, but I think the governor vetoed some of these too. Not sure how he fits in.
