MO Gov Mike Kehoe is calling a special session to gerrymander the 5th District which encompasses Kansas City. He is specifically violating Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, which bans any voting practice that denies or weakens the power of a racial minority to elect its preferred candidates.
The more Californians hear about racist gerrymandering, like in TX & MO, the more we can get support for Prop. 50 to fight Republican cheating. When you're at war, you use all the ammunition you have.

The strategy the took when they gerrymandered last time was to pack all the Democrats into 2 districts, one in St. Louis and one in KC. This made sure that St. Louis metro could only elect 1 Democrat. Now, they are going to crack the Democrats in KC and try to eliminate that Democratic seat.

Supreme court gonna fix that. They are hearing a case this coming session that could basically eliminate VRA. So, once again, don’t rely on the courts to save us. Plan the ‘26 voter messaging as if its already done. Of course fight it, but be ready for courts to fail us.
