Oklahoma has the second highest percentage of Native Americans in the country. Just like with people who relentlessly mock the southern states that also have the highest percentage of Black folks, so much of this “screw them” attitude is aimed at some of our most diverse and vulnerable places.
As someone who’s lived in that area a lot, there a plenty of liberal communities locked in the red state and none of us ever wanted this to happen. Convincing boomers that the sooner state is being overrun by the MAGA gestapo is proving difficult, even with these examples.

There’s no saying these were actual agents. They’re using contractors for some of these “jobs,” so it could be a private firm working under ICE’s purview, ICE, Marshals, civilian police, contractors or anyone they bring along to do the dirty work.

The 4A does not empower agents of the state to intrude on private property without consent, absent a judicial warrant based on probable cause. You're allowed to refuse entry, and if they force themselves inside, you can challenge the search on 4A grounds and/or sue for violation of your rights.

It was judicial, apparently. They busted through the front door and broke the glass on the back door. The warrant was to search the premises but based on the former occupants. Their info was out of date. It looks like the place hadn't been surveilled in weeks or they have known that. Outrageous!

All the people coming back into the country with a US passport, which is a card stamped citizen but keep getting detained and questioned are plenty of proof that wouldn’t work.
Not only that, you need more detailed proof than others ask for. I had a standard birth certificate from Texas that was fine for my REAL ID and fed gov work stuff but needed my long form for my passport. And this gov still doesn't treat it as good enough.
Its weird but most of the stories I read of citizens being detained, were lawyers. Like theyre being detained just to gain access to their electronic devices, that they otheteise wouldnt have access to.
I heard from a close contact who is a lawyer that they are treating travel to the US by their overseas associates same as to China—burner phones and laptops, no unrelated client work.

Normally police n the US aren't supposed to search US lawyers' devices for no reason. There's a loophole though that allows CBP to temporarily detain & take US citizens' devices (even lawyers) upon entry to the US. Cont ....
So when US citizens visit another country, they're being detained upon reentry when they return home. Most of the cases I've heard about this happening involved lawyers. The administration is exploiting this loophole to search lawyers' devices when they return to the US from an international trip.
