Huh goes unexpectedly hard. Feel free to use this, I make no claim to it.
Genuine: as an American I can point to a lot of good with the bad and say “xyz is what America means to me”. Do you feel a similar way about the UK?
Of course I do. I don't however euphemize fascism with a flag that no longer represents the nation.
The St George flag is to the UK as the confederate flag is to the United States.
Ah yes yes, my question is not a “turning this around on you”. It’s more of a tangential “I personally never thought about this before”. What do you identify as good in the UK? I imagine it includes things like early banning of slavery.
Letting the world have its countries back.
Flying the nation's flag in places other than government buildings on days other than patriotic holidays has ALWAYS been a hallmark of nationalism. Time and time again, the message is xenophobia trying to cloak itself in patriotism. If you're not at the Olympics or World Cup, it's a threat.
Say remember when Equestria used to have patriotic holidays in Friendship is Magic once grown-ass superfans hijacked it?
Uh. No. I'm a first-gen Pegasister and I'm not picking up what you're putting down.
First gen pegasister, then a quick word of advice from someone that was on the recieving end from brony-flavored bullying. ROM... AND... DEATH.... Should mean the same to you.
So pegasister, what part of the cupcake does a pegasus come from?
