Mine (I have a 2019 GMC) doesn't have that option, but I believe you can buy a battery that strips the feature out, if I remember right. It's does what it's supposed to with gas, but it can increase wear on your battery and starter which isn't great

Some cars shut off when you come to a stop at a red traffic light. The first time I encountered it, I thought my friend's car had broken down. When you take your foot off the brake, the car starts again so you can drive. It's really annoying, and I hate it. It's hard on the car and parts.

I’ll probably buy a Kia EV6 when my 12 year old Focus EV dies, but it’s still kicking. The EV6 is like a station wagon, which seems like a good compromise. The Focus uses a lot of its storage for batteries, and it’s difficult to carpool with 3 extra kids and their backpacks.
