This is also just fundamentally wrong according to even a high school bio text book. There are many different chromosomal combinations in humans not just 2. This is idiotic party newspeak science.

If I am an Oklahoma parent, I don't want my kid's teacher to be thinking about their reproductive anatomy. Mind your business, thanks!
Took it for fun. They FORCE you to give them the answers they are looking for. It’s bullshit. As is Ryan Walters.
You do not have to live in Oklahoma to sign to remove this horrible man. We're almost to 34K signatures🖤🤍 chng.it/fMqWL4GCx8
What kind of question is this? For a test designed for teachers in a particular state, I haven't encountered any questions about Oklahoma or the context of its own schools and laws. Surely the governor of Oklahoma also sign bills into law? Exclusively federal emphasis so far.
(my test bugged out and I had to restart it...) (also there is nothing that would prevent anyone from just tabbing out to look up the answers if they didn't know them...)
Why is this a question that potential Oklahoma teachers should concern themselves with an any kind of certification exam?
This is just a trivia question, entirely non material even to the functioning of American government.
"What did the Emancipation Proclamation do?" This is a test for Oklahoma teachers...
Interesting framing for this question... What was Abraham Lincoln's primary reason for waging the Civil War? Really implying that slavery and its expansion was not the most salient issue of the Civil War, even if, yes, abolition was not "the primary reason for waging the Civil War"
What cause is MLK Jr. best known for? "Advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion" is not the right answer, apparently.
If you're an Oklahoma parent, does it matter to you if your kid's 2nd grade teacher can correctly identify what PragerU says is how the Cold War ended? I have to keep reminding myself this is a test for prospective teachers that's supposed to say something about Oklahoma values? But what?
I'm really just bored and irritated by how this test started off as a culture war barometer and turned into the history questions from Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? *This is a test for classroom teachers in Oklahoma*
What strikes me about these is that they aren't ideological. What does he think teachers in blue states teach? The gov't questions are dumb but they dont teach the constitution different in NY
Exactly. It's just...very weird?
That would likely be an acceptable answer on the US citizenship test - “fought for civil rights” and “worked for equality for all Americans” are given as model answers.
It was literally equality before the law. That was his cause. DEI followed on from that basic, fundamental human right.
If inclusion is "the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities & resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those who have physical or intellectual disabilities & members of other minority groups," I'm not sure there is a difference. 😅
Check out “All Labor Has Dignity” sometime. Might still be available in public libraries?
This is such a shocking development to the eyes of a European ! Echoes of 'The Handmaid's Tale' ...
💯 this is gen ai made
That's my guess too, but I wonder why the hell it took them so long?
THEY likely want 'segregation'...
Eh, despite his distaste for slavery and his signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, you could reasonably argue Lincoln primarily wanted to preserve the union.
Can you attach the goose meme "state's rights to do what"
To be fair, it was 'to preserve the Union'. Lincoln famously said that if he could have done that without freeing a single slave he would have.
Right, but again, the question is framed in a deliberately misleading way to downplay the role of slavery as a cause of, or the end of slavery as a result of, the Civil War. Why did the Union require preservation in the first place?
No argument from me. But when you're dealing with traps set by people with black and white 'textbook ideas' you can't be colourful and introduce nuance and overview and all that woke stuff. Just answer the specific question they asked, and let them find another way to block you from employment.
They let you try again?
Prayer took out a full page ad in today’s NY Times with 34 of its questions.
Again, they likely want A..
The correct answer isn't there.
That’s. Really. Fucked. Up. OK has always sucked this just is more suck.
To be fair, teachers in Oklahoma likely don't know the answers to these questions, nor would they be able to pass a basic U.S. Civics exam.
THEIR right answer would be C..
It’s actually a trap for teachers old enough to have seen 1776 the musical.
This is a woke question, I tell you! This question will naturally lead impressionable children to want to read the first draft and compare with the final draft, then these innocent children will be forced to confront how TJ believed the enslavement of humans violated their natural rights, and then
It's a weird one too, because these people will LARP as respecting the founding fathers, but the ones who wrote the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights were pretty anti religion in Gov. But Oklahoma is forcing the 10 commandments and Bibles in every classroom.
And PragerU spews religious propaganda, including rejection of other biological realities like evolution. There's just too many layers of irony and hypocrisy built in.
clearly all incorrect the first draft was written much earlier [end of shitpost]
And the rest of the actual questions are middle school level at best.
Many of these are just cribbed straight off the US citizenship civics test. This is question 49 - www.uscis.gov/sites/defaul...
And WHY is there NO right answer??
Well, the point isn't to check what the teacher knows, but what the teacher is willing to say. They're probably perfectly happy for you you look it up, but you have to look it up on PragerU if you want to make sure that you get the intended answer.
Yeah that's because it's a loyalty test
You can always use a second device.
The whole panic about trans kids is for protecting pedocons who would feel indignity of accidentally molesting a trans minor.
"Visual anatomical observations and chromosomes" I find this answer option to be hilarious, as it's clearly meant to be the "right" one...but, given how often cisgender women are assaulted under the belief that they're trans, I don't think that's NEARLY as concrete as they want to believe.
And how the fuck do you observe someone's chromosomes?
I can't let you into this toilet until your PCR test completes. Whoops! You have XX genes and the SRY gene. That means, even though you have a working penis and testicles, you're female.
OMG! THIS ONE HAS XXY CHROMOSOMES! All republicans must now admit they are wrong about everything and must death penalty theyselfs immediately.
Genitals and chromosomes matter in some contexts but the vast majority of times, we look at gender. Say its winter and someone drops a glove and I chase after them. Do I shout "sir" Or "ma'am"? Im not checking genitals or DNA. Winter clothing hides our bodies. Im likely reading fashion cues
99.9% of the time, someone's gender has little impact on my life. I dont need to know anything about your DNA, hormones, genitals, or medical history to not be a douche. Society is filled with diverse ppl - the emphasis should be on learning how to respect and work with those you may not understand
I'm guessing the correct answer to #3 isn't the literally correct answer of D
I’m more worried they seem to be implying kids have to be “visually inspected” to determine their gender. By WHOM?
Even ignoring the person's choice, those do not always align into two nice, neat categories. Question writer should stick to writing questions they know the answer to, which, based on the other questions, are American history questions with objective answers you can google.
maybe all your teachers taught off the same score sheet but different kids need different teaching methods, beyond just what kind of learner they are. and p.s. these are all BS GOP talking points. they'll never get into anything as complicated as how to teach. they don't know.
So Oklahoma is full of creepers?
Really important for teachers to know that “bathroom child anatomy inspection” will be part of the job of they have their way.
This shit is infuriating
It won't let you continue if you get a question wrong, but there are unlimited retakes... And then they ask you for donations at the end. What a scam.
Nobody thinks about other peoples' genitals more than republican creeps. For being the so-called party of "small government" they sure do love invading the personal business of everyone around them. It's gross.
Apropos of nothing, but this quiz appears to be built on Typeform, which is not what I'd choose for an official academic certificate.
Transphobia as a teaching requirement now in Oklahoma.
Thank you for this thread. Morbid curiosity: what’s the first question?
That last one is a trick question.
Data. It's data PragerU wants, for some reason. Same with all them trivia questions. They want the data on what "would-be teachers" say to these items, but I don't think they care what these items actually indicate about pedagogical aptitude. They want this data for some other purpose.
😐i'm reminded of a short segment on chicken farming i once saw where an incredibly bored woman sexed chicks and then casually tossed them into one of two metal funnels for sorting before packing and transportation
and then there was this.... youtu.be/Uoa4ddeNizA
Because they think that it somehow disproves that transgender people exist.
Because this is fascist propaganda, not teaching tools or a knowledge test.
Right?
Horrific
Holy shit, Nick. This is so fucking vile.
Yeah, it's a frustrating combination of flagrantly intrusive and totally banal. It's like biting into a screw halfway into your Costco totally average Costco hotdog.
"visual anatomical observation" - are they suggesting schools should have some role in this? I don't particularly want the Assistant Principal/Part-Time Coach observing my daughter's reproductive anatomy. The whole lot of them are creepy as hell, and yelling about groomers is 100% projection.
It wouldn’t be a republican test without child sex questions
What an incredibly normal set of questions to ask.
Who is going to be looking? This is disgusting, retired teacher here.
GOP = #GUARDIANS_OF_PEDOPHILES
