In 1996 a gunman entered Dunblane Primary School in Scotland. He shot and killed 16 children and their teacher. By the following year radical reform of the gun laws has meant that there have been no school shootings since and guns are rarely involved in murders.

I talked with @andersoncooper 10 years ago after the shooting at the community college. Glad the problem was addressed back then and we have not had over 4000 shootings since then. Our child survived, her mother did not.
